Scholarships and Financial Aid

St. Thomas the Apostle School uses SMARTAid to help determine a family’s eligibility for financial assistance.  All applicants for tuition assistance of any kind must apply annually by completing the SMARTAid application form (below).  Please contact Michelle Curley in the business office with questions or for more information: 860-236-6257.

The following Scholarships and Grants are currently available to St. Thomas the Apostle School students:

 

Archbishop’s Annual Appeal

Guidelines for Eligibility:

  • Open to students in grades K- 5
  • No residency requirement
  • Household income must be within eligibility limits
  • Awards are up to $500 per student

 

Children’s Educational Opportunity Foundation of Connecticut (CEO)

Joseph A. Lenihan ’74 Memorial Scholarship

Guidelines for Eligibility:

  • No residency requirement
  • Open to returning students in grades K- 5 with demonstrated financial need.
  • Student must show potential to become a successful member of the STA school community
  • May be renewed annually
  • Award is $1,000 per student
  • Faculty and Administration recommendation required

 

Parish Scholarship

Guidelines for Eligibility:

  • Students who are members of St. Thomas the Apostle or St. Timothy parish.
  • No residency requirement
  • Open to students in grades PK- 5
  • Average award is $500
