Home & School Association
The Home & School Association is a parent organization that promotes open communication between parents, faculty and the school board of St. Thomas the Apostle School. Monthly meetings take place during the school year and the minutes from each meeting are published.

The organization coordinates a wide range of activities and fundraising events throughout the school year that contribute to the strength and success of our community. Every family is welcome and encouraged to participate. In order to ensure the safety of our students, participation in a Virtus Training Workshop and background checks are required for all employees and volunteers.
The Virtus Training Workshops are available throughout the year and are coordinated by various parishes in the Archdiocese. Please click here for a full list of workshops available and to register online. If you would like to register for an upcoming training session at St. Thomas the Apostle School, please complete the form below and return it to the school office. Following the completion of the Virtus Training Workshop, volunteers receive a certificate of completion which must be submitted to the school office.

Background checks are processed through the Chancery of the Archdiocese of Hartford. This process includes the completion of a form, which is available on line and also in the school office. The processing fee of $20 for the background check is charged to each new parent through the tuition bill.
