Cognitive Achievement Tests are administered to second grade students in October. Verbal, nonverbal and quantitative skills are evaluated. The scores indicate relative strengths and weaknesses
Assessment of Children/Youth Religious Education tests are administered to fifth grade students in March. This test assesses knowledge of faith, liturgical life, moral formation, prayer, communal life, and missionary spirit. The results provide assessment of achievement and help to inform Archdiocesan programming.
The Iowas are administered to students in grades 3-5 in April and May. Assessments describe students’ developmental levels and strengths and weakness in in the following content areas:
- English Language Arts
- Reading, Written Expression, Convention of Writing, and Vocabulary
- Mathematics and Computation
- Listening Skills (additional test for grade 3 only)
- Social Studies and Science (additional test for Grade 5 only)
